Introductory workshop: type design

TypeTogether was invited to hold a short type workshop during the 6th edition of the Congreso Internacional de Tipografía in Valencia (Spain). The workshop ‘Introduction into digital typeface design’ covers many areas of the typeface design process and aims to jump-start both beginners and amateurs into alphabet-drawing. The first day, students did some sketching exercises, experimenting with three parameters and developed their own design. On the second day, followed by a basic introduction to Fontlab, the students started to digitise their design and expand the character set.
