AWARDS
Adelle wins gold at ED-Awards 2010

We are happy and proud to announce that we have received two awards in this years ED-Awards competition. Our multi-purpose typefamily Adelle was given Gold and Karmina Sans won Bronze in the category "Original Typeface". Veronika collected the nice but very heavy trophy at the awards ceremony in Rotterdam this past month. Many thanks to the jury and Ed-Awards!

TypeTogether in 2+3D magazine

Polish designer and teacher Ewa Satalecka was fascinated by the virtual existence and activity of TypeTogether and took the opportunity to interview José and Veronika for the Polish design magazine 2+3D. The six-page article covers questions about long-distance collaboration and the way of designing typefaces together. It also shows some very nice examples of various available TypeTogether typefaces.

Sirba for book design

Nicolien van der Keur's Sirba is used as main body text typeface in this book by Martine F. Delfos, published by SWP in Amsterdam. Sirba's friendliness and personality meet excellent typesetting in this beautiful book that deals with the issue of Virtual Development of Young Children. Sirba is combined with Frutiger, which functions as secondary typeface.

Typographic Curiosities

Renowned graphic designer and lecturer Horacio Gorodischer released his book, "Curiosidades Tipográficas". The book, published by Universidad del Litoral, features a series of very well writen essays about the history and practice of typography and typesetting. It also includes a foreword by María Ledesma and an introductory chapter by José Scaglione.

The German design magazine Slanted features Givry, designed by Tom Grace, in their latest issue "Slanted #10 – Heavy Metal. Lovers" in the section "Fontlabels, Fonts & Families". The magazine explores the type category of blackletter and anything related to that including a series of photographs about the Norwegian Heavy Metal scene.

David Brezina's award-winning Skolar was chosen for all body text settings in the redesign of Britain's historic magazine "British Journal of Photography". According to the art editor in charge, Skolar provided the perfect solution to their brief: 'classic with a twist'.

Bree, I love her poster

Talented brazilian designer Marina Chaccur designed this beautiful poster featuring Bree, the successful award-winning typeface published in 2008 by TypeTogether. This is the second poster in a series of collectibles we will make available through our website. Posters will be rolled and shipped by snail mail in a tube. Upcoming workshop & lecture

Veronika was invited to give a talk at TypeTalks in Brno, a typography symposium organised by David Brezina. Additionally she will also hold a 2-day workshop and give a talk in Ljubljana, Slovenia, during the 1st Festival of Letters, organised by tipoRenesansa.
