Tablet Gothic

We are proud to announce the release of Tablet Gothic, the new type family by Burian and Scaglione. Originally engineered as a titling type family, it is meant to help designers working on publications that require output as hard copies and a variety of digital platforms at the same time. As such, it is a grotesque sans serif that looks to the future of publishing with a clear understanding of its history. Tablet Gothic delivers the sturdy, straightforward and clean appearance expected from a grotesque, but it allows itself a good measure of personality to make it stand out on the page.

NEW RELEASE
Skolar 2.5

Our popular typeface Skolar by David Březina, has been updated to the most recent version (2.5). This version includes extended language support and kerning and in the PE version a vast amount of Latin transliterations. Skolar 2.5 supports over 162 languages (90 in Latin, 41 in Cyrillic, Greek, and ca. 30 via transliterations). This is a free update for all customers who bought Skolar from TypeTogether. Please contact us, adding the purchase receipt, if you are interested.

EDUCATION
Upcoming lecture at TDC

Veronika was invited to speak at the TDC in New York, coming month, 12th April. She will discuss her collaborative work within TypeTogether on type designs conceived for intensive editorial use. The focus will be on the complex issues behind technical, historical and theoretical aspects of these typefaces. How they are set, printed and read.

EDUCATION
Gjøvik Workshop

The Norwegian University Høgskolen i Gjøvik, invited Veronika to give a week-long type design workshop to the Media Design students in their final year. Starting with sketching on paper, the students then traced their shapes digitally and continued to explore the complexities of type drawing with some very good final results.
