Soleil wins silver Binder Award

We are happy to announce that Wolfgang Homola's successful geometric sans serif Soleil received Silver at the Austrian Joseph Binder Award 2012. This international competition for graphic design is held every two years and has been organized by designaustria (DA), the Austrian interest organization and knowledge centre for design, since 1996.

BOOKS
The geometry of type

We are proud to announce that two of our typefaces, Adelle and Bree, are featured in Stephen Coles' recent book Geometry of Type. The book explores 100 traditional and modern typefaces in detail, with a full spread devoted to each entry. Characters from each typeface are enlarged and annotated to reveal key features, anatomical details, and the finer, often-overlooked elements of type design, which shows how these attributes affect mood and readability.

The second edition is here

Spanish publishing house Tipo e announced the release of the second edition of the very successful book Cómo crear tipografías (How to create typefaces), by Cristobal Henestrosa, Laura Meseguer and José Scaglione. According to Eye Magazine this book "may be the most fruitful publication so far available in the discipline". Cómo crear tipografías is currently available only in Spanish.
