Bree Serif, an energetic slab serif

In 2008 TypeTogether released the Bree typeface, a sleek sans serif that quickly became a favorite among brand and editorial designers. Now Bree Serif follows the same theme as its predecessor, it is a young and energetic upright italic that approaches readers with hip and somewhat elegant charm. It has a range of styles that can perform as counterparts to the original Bree fonts. At the same time though they bring a whole range of new and individual features that make Bree Serif a separate type family in its own right. If you loved the multi-award wining Bree, you will surely love its seriffed cousin!

Pollen

Some time ago, Brazilian designer Eduardo Berliner surprised us all with his beautiful Pollen, a typeface that finds a perfect balance between technical excellence, careful design of letter forms for extended reading, and a measured dose of charm and personality. In this update we added a Bold Italic font to the typefamily to complete its four core fonts. If you already own a license and would like to update it please contact us to receive a discount coupon.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
New additions to the TypeTogether team

TypeTogether welcomes three new members to the team: Sonja Keller, Font Engineer, Irene Vlachou, Senior Type Designer and Elena Veguillas, Communications Manager. This exciting development is part of our ongoing efforts to deliver friendly customer support, technical quality and excellent type design.

Sonja is an experienced font production ninja, who will take care of all the technical aspects of OpenType and web font development. Irene's knowledge in multi-script design and her keen eye on quality will encourage a fresh approach to typography. She will be involved in the creation of new typefaces as well as expanding existing projects. Elena's role will be to enliven TypeTogether's communications and research. In addition she will also handle any aspects related to branding and the press office.

MERCHANDISING
Edita Specimen

The third typeface in our series of fold-out specimens is Edita, the gentle, humanistic and a contemporary typeface by Pilar Cano. Talented Czech designer Olga Benešová designed this beautiful fold-out that features samples of the full family including the optically corrected weights Edita Small and Small Italic. It folds out to 54x28 cm and has been printed by T.A. tisk on Munken Lynx.

The new professional taxi driver manual of the City of Buenos Aires uses Karmina Sans. Designed by Argentinian Verónica Angelastro it makes the most of Karmina Sans' versatility in the composition of this complex piece, which requires a subtle balance between text, footnotes, references, captions and tables of data.
