NEW RELEASE
Alverata

We are happy to announce the release of Gerard Unger's latest typeface, Alverata, a contemporary type family with roots in early Europe. It is additionally influenced by early twentieth-century models, but tweaked so as to prevent blandness and monotony.

Alverata is an extensive type family, with versions for both formal and informal applications, and with Greek and Cyrillic relatives. Alverata consists of three different fonts: Alverata, Alverata Informal and Alverata Irregular, that differ in form and width, but maintain the same spirit. The Irregular version is particularly inspired by the Insular letterforms, the uncials, and their constantly changing positioning.

INITIATIVE
Typeface Publishing Incentive Program

We are pleased to announce a new initiative open to all designers currently studying typeface design. The annual Typeface Publishing Incentive Program will offer support and guidance to promising typeface design students to develop their careers after graduation, by providing feedback, economic support and a publishing contract with TypeTogether.

LFT Etica in Pocket Guide

Designed by Nick Boulton, the Pocket Guide collection uses Leftloft's typeface LFT Etica on covers and in chapter openings. The Pocket Guide series (Five Simple Steps) discusses general subjects with special appeal to web designers. Originally it was launched in ebook format, but due to its success and customer demand a printed version has been recently released.
