Even before the release of Playpen Sans, we intended to expand the family with more scripts for the benefit wider use. Today we are officially showing the first sneak peek of those upcoming scripts: Arabic, Cyrillic, Devanagari, Greek, Hebrew, Latin Extended, and Thai.
As with the Latin, the expanded Playpen Sans family maintains the casual look of true handwriting. We have also designed several alternates for every glyph in each script and substitute them on-the-fly to enhance the typeface’s realism. Ready for the preview?

Learn MoreDesigner Mikhail Lychkovskiy was looking for something space-filling, character-filled, and rough around the edges for a poster project. Rezak impressed him enough to build the poster around it.
Learn MoreWhen it comes to imagination, children want to be spurred to believe in and interact with fantastical, entertaining, and educational worlds. German company Tonies SE developed the popular Toniebox, an innovative audio system for children which combines a wireless speaker with collectable figurines called Tonies. Together with UK-based children’s storytelling agency Collaborate, they commissioned TypeTogether to create a bespoke headline typeface to replace their previous retail script.
The result, made in concert with our partner and friend Petra Dočekalová, is something brush-based, vibrant, and clear. It adds an “ownable” aspect to their brand which can’t be duplicated, sets them apart in the children’s market, and acts as the new, playful branding typeface of the Tonies identity. Learn MoreWe recently hinted at Chaco ’s release, and we’re excited to announce it is finally here! Rubén Fontana is a renowned Argentinian graphic designer, typeface designer, educator, and co-director with Zalma Jalluf of the Fontana Diseño studio. For decades his work has been — and still remains — a reference point in Latin America and Spain of what great design and influential identities can be.
With Chaco, Rubén has injected intentionality and a sense of place into the modern sans category. Chaco was designed by paying close attention to two specific levels of function and aesthetics: the high-level concept of corporate identities and the rubber-meets-the-road functionality of an easily-read text family. See all the details here, put it through the paces on our website type tester, and grab the entire family for your next project. And with it, join us in welcoming Rubén Fontana to our catalogue!
