Akaki Razmadze
Akaki Razmadze is a communication designer from the country of Georgia. He graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and Trier University of Applied Sciences and is currently working as a type designer, communication design consultant, and typography lecturer. His type design credits include Georgian characters for Monotype’s Helvetica Neue, FF Meta, and Neue Frutiger, and Google’s Noto Sans and Serif. Akaki consults on type projects for Microsoft, TypeToday, TypeTogether, and other respected companies. He was the co-author of Georgian currency symbol and initiated the introduction of Georgian capital letters into the Unicode standard.
