Tipos Latinos 2018

TiposLatinos is a biennial platform that specifically promotes Latin American type design, an expanding category since its beginning in 2004. In this edition, the 8th, only 74 typefaces were selected out of the 444 submitted, and among the honourees were Juan Bruce’s Noort and Veronika Burian and José Scaglione’s Portada. The winners will be exhibited in select venues in the twelve participating countries and may make their way to other locations. Congratulations to Juan, the TypeTogether team, and the other selectees!

Juan Bruce’s mature serif family, Noort, is an information architect’s dream. The designer’s complex job of layering information and stylistic design choices can be balanced by Noort’s easily-read nature and analogue details.
