Douglas Arellanes

Douglas Arellanes is a storyteller, translator, lecturer in digital media, and technologist originally born in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He studied book arts at the College of Creative Studies at University of California, Santa Barbara. A former art director, he has translated several publications on type from Czech to English, including Radek Sidun’s Manual of diacritics and the publication accompanying the exhibition “Jaroslav Benda, 1882–1970: Typographic designs and letterforms.” In addition to these activities, Doug is a DJ on Prague’s Radio 1, 91.9 FM.

Doug joined TypeTogether in 2022 as a communications and social media manager.
