We love the work of Germany’s Forum Typografie. For decades they’ve been doing important and effective work toward better typography. Even for non-German speakers, the Forum Typografie website is always a great source of news and interesting perspectives (Google Translate is your friend 😉).

Forum Typografie is a German association that not only discusses better typography, it does something about it. Since 1984, the Forum has seen itself as a point of contact for active people from all areas of communication design who have understood that written culture needs competent advocates on the inside to be able to play a decisive role.
The Forum has established working groups to present the possibilities of typography to the public, forms alliances for good professional conditions, and presents the social relevance of design and typography. They also explore trends and their effect on typography, and initiate and support scientific research.
